Loving Science Ltd
I've spent over a decade at the intersection of machine learning and the life sciences — from a PhD in chemical space embedding at the University of Strasbourg, to a postdoc at King's College London working on genomic drug hypotheses, to industry roles at BenevolentAI and Charm Therapeutics building AI platforms for drug discovery.
I've had to switch between fields and institutions several times during my career, and learning about new fields, tools and workflows has always seemed more complex than it should have been. My goal with Loving Science is to make that process easier for other scientists. I've been building web tools for scientific workflows on the side for years — and Loving Science is where that finally becomes the main project.
When I'm not coding, I'm writing fiction.
Background
2024 – 2025
Senior ML Engineer @ Charm Therapeutics
Co-folding models for structure-based drug design.
2019 – 2023
Senior AI Scientist @ BenevolentAI
ML for chemistry and target identification — QSAR, multitask learning, mixtures of experts.
2015 – 2019
Postdoctoral Researcher @ King's College London
Drug target prioritisation from GWAS data (Psychiatric Genomics Consortium). Also built early science web tools as personal projects.
